If you’re new to juicing, this is a perfect place to start. This recipe is beginner-friendly, delightfully sweet, and features stable fruits and vegetables that won’t spoil quickly. That means you can always keep these ingredients on hand, ready to whip up a revitalizing drink at a moment’s notice.

Why I’m Passionate About Juicing

Your first dietary choice of the day holds great importance. Starting your morning with a fresh, raw juice on an empty stomach allows your body to swiftly absorb vital nutrients. This sets the tone for a day focused on embracing wholesome, living foods and reducing your intake of processed, salty, and oily options. Furthermore, hydration is another key reason I’m an ardent advocate for juicing. Fruits hydrate your body faster than plain water, and when I’m enduring scorching Texas summers, maintaining proper hydration is crucial.

ABC Juice

Apple, carrot, beetroot juice.

Makes about 15 ounces

  • 7 large carrots
  • 1 apple
  • 1 beet
  1. First wash all of your produce. Always use organic if possible, but if not, soak fruits and vegetables in saltwater for 20 minutes.

  2. Chop the produce in appropriate size pieces for your juicer.

  3. Juice away! Don't have a juicer? See instructions to how to make juice with a blender.

  4. Using a mesh strainer over your glass or a large bowl, strain the juice for a super smooth consistency. This is optional if you don't mind a little pulp that your juicer may leave behind.

Can I make this without a juicer?

Yes! Just chop the ingredients smaller, add 1 cup of cold water and blend on high for about 1 minute. Over a large bowl, pour into a nutmilk bag or cheesecloth to squeeze out the liquid and separate the pulp. The results will be different but this is still a great way to make juice without a juicer.

Looking for a less sweet juice?

Substitute the apple for 3-5 stalks of celery.
