How to Make Cashew, Coconut Oat Milk

Making your own non-dairy milk is easier than getting in your car to run to the store, I promise. It requires only a few pantry staples, water, a blender, and a simple nut milk bag. Here I will show you how easy it is to make this Cashew, Coconut Oat Milk. This recipe only requires 5 Ingredients and less than 5 minutes. No soaking is required!
Not only is it easier than you may think, but it tastes so remarkably fresh and so incredibly DELICIOUS that you will never think of store-bought milk the same. It feels sattvic, wholesome, and will be appreciated as a beautiful act of love by anyone you share it with.
My current favorite way to enjoy this particular non-dairy milk is actually with a simple Bananna-Oat Smoothie. It is really so nourishing at satisfying alone, but really makes a difference in your matcha latte, coffee, or smoothie.
Making the time to make your own non-dairy milk
Like anything, making the conscious decision to do something mindfully vs just getting it done is a choice we make. I wish I could say that it was all about the small choices and changing small habits, but sometimes it does require a big lifestyle change and planning ahead. What we put in our bodies affects us not on a physical level but also psychologically. I know consuming the added fillers and preservatives in store-bought milk was not good for my body over the long term, and I am always looking to reduce my use of plastic and boxed products. I still don’t make everything from scratch the all time, but this is an easy staple to treat yourself to.

Tips on How To Make Fresh Cashew, Coconut Oat Milk
I recommend using fresh, cold, filtered water. It will make a difference. Next, be careful to not blend longer than 45 seconds to avoid slimy milk. A nut milk bag is one of my favorite and most inexpensive kitchen tools, so I recommend having one.

You can leave out the date, or add an extra one or two for extra sweetness.
For creamier milk, reduce the water to 3.5 cups. This is great for coffee or in other hot beverages.
Remember to use good quality water, it WILL make a difference.
I recommend using a pinch of pink Himalayan salt for added flavor and minerals.
Don’t have a nut milk bag? Some will have used a clean t-shirt or cloth, but this option worked terribly for me. A cheesecloth will work better, or a simple nut milk bag is worth it for the $3 investment!
